Beauty Trend: 5 Makeup Colors for Spring
Springtime is the best time to get fun with your makeup. It’s always great to play with your girly side, and these makeup trends are no exception. Switch it up! Step out of your comfort zone and change your morning routine with some of these boldly colorful – and boldly beautiful – looks.
Bold in Blue
We saw it on a ton of runways this year, and there’s a reason for that. No matter your eye shape, bright blue eyeliner is a sure way to make your eyes pop. Line your top lid for a chic, alluring look. A liquid liner is perfect for achieving a sharp, direct line. To achieve the cleanest line, place a small piece of tape at the corner of your eye and use as a guide. Remove the tape to reveal your perfect wing.
So, why not go bold when you go blue?
Or, for an alternative blue look, try blue lashes. It’s a fun, yet subtle, way to add color and switch up your evening makeup look.
With summer right around the corner, we love a bronzed face. Look like you’ve spent the day poolside when you accentuate with a liquid highlighter. Brush a small amount on your cheek bones to brighten and add touches of light to your complexion.
A liquid highlighter is not only good for cheeks, but for eyelids and lips, too. Simply swipe a layer over your eye shadow – or by itself – for a low-key metallic eye. Next, dab a small amount on the top lip near your crease to accentuate your mouth and add a layer of shine.
For a subtle pop of color, try a dainty peach eye shadow. The color will sit delicately above your eyes and enhance your features. A few light swipes of mascara without liner will keep your eyes bright and open.
We love this color paired with a candy apple lip stain for the ultimate feminine look.
Crazy in Copper
If you want to go a bit bolder, pump it up with a metallic. We are loving the copper trend right now, and a thick, smudgy layer is perfect for taking the day into night.
A cream eyeshadow is super versatile, and can be used as more than its main purpose. For a liner, use a thin brush and line the entire eye. Or, extend the top line into an exaggerated cat eye. Whichever style you choose, your eyes will be drawing some serious attention.

Dark colors were all the rage this year, but we think now is totally the time to lighten it up with a pastel lip. Go simple with the rest of your makeup when you make a statement with a lilac, baby blue or soft pink lip. We like a flat matte lipstick to achieve the bluntest color.
